FAQ
How did you get my details?
Marketing Source collects the electoral roll and aggregates data from many of other companies to learn information about consumers for marketing purposes only.
What information do you have about me?
We do not collect sensitive data, medical data or information about people under the age of eighteen. Most of the data we hold is publicly available census data and address information. All of these can be suppressed at your request.
My child has been contacted by your company and is under the age of eighteen years?
Legally, marketing companies may contact children from the age of fourteen years of age, however, Marketing Source has adopted an adult marketing policy and aims not to market to anyone under the age of eighteen years. If your child is in receipt of literature and you believe the data was provided by Marketing Source, please complete the form with your adult details ONLY and explain the situation when we contact you by telephone. If possible, please try and discover where the minor may have given their details to a company for third-party use.
Why isn't this process automated and why do you need to call me?
We do this for security reasons. If we allowed this webpage to request information from our database servers we would be putting your data at risk. By requesting your details through a secure webpage and calling you back, we are certain to eliminate any security risk to the database servers.
How do I stop future mailings or telephone calls from other companies?
By suppressing your data here you will stop any further contact from Marketing Source's client companies but not others. Currently the best method of suppressing yourself from contact is through: MPS and TPS. These are the Mailing Preference Service and the Telephone Preference Service. If you enter your details at the MPS and TPS websites you will be suppressed from mailings or calls by any company following current legislation, as Marketing Source does. This process can take up to twenty-eight days or more to come into force.
How do I know you will have suppressed my details?
We will tell you on the telephone when we call you or in a subsequent call.
How long will it take for you to remove or suppress me?
We aim to remove or suppress your details whilst we are on the telephone with you. However, if there is any systems-maintenance ongoing it may take up to three working days from the phone call. The representative will be able to confirm this when they call.
